The process

How vacuum thermoforming works.

A plastic sheet is heated, drawn over a precision mould by vacuum, cooled and released as a seamless three-dimensional part, on machines with beds up to 1750 × 3250 mm.

  1. 01

    Heating

Dual infrared ceramic heaters bring the sheet to forming temperature, zone by zone.

  2. 02

    Vacuum forming

The softened sheet is drawn tight over the mould, capturing every detail.

  3. 03

    Cooling

The part holds its new shape as it cools on the tool.

  4. 04

    Release

The component is released, trimmed and inspected before dispatch.
